Family YMCA

The Bear Levin Studer Family YMCA is a two-story athletic facility built downtown Pensacola. At design development, the project was well over budget. Greenhut worked with the Architect and Owner to develop a plan that would bring the project within budget constraints. Over $1M in value engineering was suggested, approved and implemented into the design. Once the design was finally set, our team proceeded to bid the final plans with the final GMP coming under budget by 1.44%.

The project was challenging as it was being constructed in a very busy downtown area. Contaminated groundwater plumes were overcome, unstable soils were dealt with. The project was very successful. One that has enhanced the surrounding area and will be enjoyed by the entire community for generations to come.
