Maritime Place

Maritime Place is a 4-Story 75,739 square foot Class A Office Building situated downtown Pensacola directly in front of the Blue Wahoos Baseball Stadium. Greenhut’s Preconstruction Team analyzed the building structural, Mechanical, Electrical, and Life Safety systems, all of the permanent products incorporated into the structure, and means and methods to incorporate the best value possible without compromising function, design, and the end user’s needs. A 3-story version was originally contracted. While constructing the steel frame, the client requested an additional floor to be added. Greenhut added the floor, kept the original completion date finishing on time.

The Studer Group Interior Office Build Out is a 28,381 square foot Class A Office Space that encompasses part of the first floor, all of the second floor and part of the third floor of the Maritime Place Office Building. Due to the ongoing construction of the core and shell, the Greenhut Management Team utilized subcontractors outside the purview of those contracted for the construction of the core and shell. Although there were many more trades to manage, this approach enabled the entire construction effort to stay on track, while offering construction opportunities to more local construction firms, creating less stress on the trades already contracted for the core and shell work.

EmCare Interior Office Build Out is a 24,081 square foot Class A Office Space that encompasses part of the third floor and all of the fourth floor of the Maritime Place Office Building. Due to the ongoing construction of the core and shell and the Studer Group Build Out, the Greenhut Management Team, again, utilized subcontractors outside the purview of those already contracted for ongoing construction. There were no manpower shortage issues on this build-out due to the strategy employed, creating a highly successful project, built on time, within budget constraints and with the highest quality that Greenhut Construction is so well known for.

"Despite a heavy rain season with one twenty four hour period producing thirty inches of rain, the project remained on schedule and on budget as the steel frame was being topped out. Soon after the topping out, the developer asked if it would be feasible to add a fourth floor for a new major tenant and still make the established move in date. Greenhut did not miss a beat and with their leadership in both estimating and project management they pushed the project thru to the finish line mantling a high level of quality and accomplishing all of the goals originally set out by the owner."
